WSPV Series — Stainless Steel Scald Protection Valves

The WSPV Series Scald Protection Valves are stainless steel safety devices designed to protect personnel from accidental scalding caused by overheated water. Commonly used on eye-wash stations, safety showers, and water outlets where exposure to high-temperature water poses a safety risk.

Operating Principles

The WSPV contains a temperature-sensitive thermal actuator that responds to water temperature. Under normal conditions, the valve remains open. When water temperature rises above 95°F, the actuator begins closing. At 105°F, the valve moves to full shutoff. When temperature returns to approximately 95°F, the valve reopens automatically.
