The SVB Series Safety Relief Valves are cast bronze, ASME Section VIII UV certified valves designed for overpressure protection on unfired pressure vessels in saturated steam, air, and gas systems.

Operating Principles

Under normal operating conditions, system pressure remains below the valve set pressure and the disc stays seated. When pressure reaches the set point, the valve opens to relieve excess pressure. In steam and gas service, the SVB Series provides a fast-opening pop action for efficient pressure relief. Once pressure is reduced, the valve automatically reseats.
