Butterfly Valves

Butterfly valves isolate or regulate the flow of a fluid via a disk that rotates open and closed. This operation is similar to a ball valve as it allows for quick shut off but generally costs less than other valve designs and is lighter weight. Rotating the actuator turns the disc either parallel or perpendicular to the flow. Of note, the disc is always present within the flow so it induces a pressure drop even when open.
