Operating Principles

The 403 Series uses a pilot valve to sense downstream pressure and control the main valve piston. When downstream pressure drops below the set point, the pilot opens to pressurize the piston, opening the main valve. When downstream pressure is satisfied, the pilot closes, and the main valve modulates to maintain stable pressure.
